Notice on the Adjustment to the Requirement of Health Code Application

Starting from March 28, 2022, as a measure to further prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the risk of cross-border transmission, all China-bound passengers departing from Albania are required to take COVID-19 tests according to the following requirement to apply for Health Code (including Health Declaration Certificate Health Code for Non-Chinese passengers).

1. Passengers who have been fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines (received all the necessary doses with required intervals and the last dose at least 14 days before application) are required to take a COVID-19 RT-PCR test respectively in the two test labs designated by Chinese Embassy in Albania within 24 hours before boarding their flights and also required to take one COVID-19 Antigen test within 12 hours before boarding (for the flights to be boarded in the morning, the Antigen test can be taken in the last afternoon before the flight; for other flights, the Antigen test shall be taken on the same day or within 12 hours before boarding ).

2. Passengers not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines are required to take one COVID-19 RT-PCR test within 24 hours before boarding their flights and one COVID-19 IgM test within 48 hours before boarding their flights. These passengers are also required to take one COVID-19 Antigen test within 12 hours before boarding (for the flights to be boarded in the morning, the Antigen test can be taken in the last afternoon before the flight; for other flights, the Antigen test shall be taken on the same day or within 12 hours before boarding ).   

3. To apply for Health Codes, passengers are required to upload required documents listed in the notice issued on January 21, 2022 (http://al.chineseembassy.org/eng/lsfw/lstx/202201/t20220121_10631875.htm) and also provide a negative COVID-19 Antigen test report. Aforementioned tests shall be taken at two test labs designated by Chinese Embassy in Albania (American Hospital and Intermedica).

Passengers who have had COVID-19 infection history or unprotected contact with confirmed, suspected or asymptomatic cases and those who show suspected symptoms or are rheumatoid patients,please contact Chinese Embassy in Albania (+355-692088899, consulate_alb@mfa.gov.cn) before confirming the departure date.
